HOUSE IN MORAYSHIRE

This extension to a former sea captain's house in a traditional Morayshire fishing village was planned to improve access, shower and wet storage facilities.

The need for wayleave parking set the limits of the new building line and defined its curved shape. The tighter curve on the ground floor creates a recessed entrance refuge zone.

At the upper level an extra bedroom and balcony with views out over rooftops and across Findhorn Bay. Finishes are Caithness stone, render, larch and glass.
