CAMSERNEY FALLS ECO-VILLAGE, ABERFELDY, PERTHSHIRE

This rural diversification project offers all-year-round self-catering accommodation immediately accessible to hill walking and wildlife, with on-site facilities and activities.

Visitors have an opportunity to learn about the environment, biodiversity, permaculture and sustainable development, and to participate in environmental work and conservation management.

Clustered, linked lodges within a strong landscape framework, situated beside the client's hydro scheme. The development is designed to be carbon neutral.

Timber-framed construction with screw pile foundations minimises disturbance to the ground, and enables lodges to be built close to trees. Thick walls and roofs are highly insulated with sheeps wool. Home grown and Scottish hardwoods and softwoods are used throughout.

Natural wood cladding and fresh fragrant planting around the houses create a high quality setting, sheltered and sunny external spaces.
