REPRESENTATION
We represent clients’ interests through all stages of development planning, at hearings and public inquiries. We have advised housing agencies and business trusts in making contributions to local plans. We recently challenged one Scottish authority to adopt simpler, more efficient and sustainable plan documentation.
CONSULTATION
We often engage with communities to inform local people of proposals and seek their views. This helps us design better buildings and places. Feedback gained at Open Day events for a mixed-use redevelopment project was able to identify more accurately peoples’ views and set priorities.
PARTICIPATION
We participate with stakeholders in bringing forward plans for redevelopment. Our concepts and plans help shape communities with quality environments that promote interaction and diversity.
ADVOCACY & NEGOTIATION
In an ever more complex planning system, we advise clients on how best to justify the planning case. We guide projects through the system to achieve a successful outcome. We advise clients on dealing with planning conditions and 75 agreements.
